Bob Kurland
A 7-foot basketball center, Kurland played for Henry Iba’s Oklahoma A&M College (now Oklahoma State University) basketball team and was an important part of the team’s consecutive NCAA titles in 1945 and 1946. Kurland went on to play with the Phillips 66ers for 6 years and led the U.S.A. Basketball Team to gold medals in the 1948 and 1952 Olympics. He was elected to the Bartlesville Hall of Fame in 1961.
